It's interesting, isn't it? We often look to other people to articulate for us how we feel, how we should think, and as such we inevitably make 'gods' of these people. I was a great admirer of Ravi Zacharias. I leant into his teaching, his apologetic style, his intellectual answers, and the dedication on the opening pages of my book was to his memory. It now seems as if that dedication is at best misplaced, and at worst deliberately ignorant.
Am I now to judge him? No, as that would ignore the planks that exist in my eyes. However, I do feel a sense of betrayal. The evidence suggests that a man claiming to represent Jesus was a wolf in sheep's clothing. It may be a long time before the words, actions, and public lives of travelling apologists are viewed through something other than a healthy lens of skepticism. Are they actually practicing what they preach?
What a reminder this is that our faith cannot be in people, but our faith must be in Christ.
In response to the 'outrage' regarding the newly-released Sex For Children book, Koraly Dimitriadis writes that simply because children have the ability to access countless hours of pornographic material, they should read this book. I repeat myself when I say I have no idea why these people want 10-year-olds to learn how to perform blowjobs.
Big W, popular department store in Australia, has decided that a book encouraging children to participate in sex, written by Yumi Stynes and Dr Melissa Kang, should be on their shelves. I will never understand why these people think that children ought to be taught explicit sexual content, tips, and techniques.
Make the logical and coherent argument to me that children need to be shown and taught this.

One of the more strange weeks in Pride Month 2023.
A teacher in New Zealand was deregistered for refusing to use the so-called 'preferred pronouns' of a student.
Children as young as 12 are able to change their gender on their birth certificate without any treatment whatsoever.
And apparently penguins are gay, and they're great role models for teaching children as young as 6 about sexuality.
What a week.
