Equity. What an interesting concept to try to deconstruct. Although colloquial data, I would suggest that behind most calls for equity today is the desire for power and control. Control over social and cultural narratives, and the power to silence varying viewpoints. As I observe the ever-expanding calls for equity and diversity (two concepts that cannot sit together), I was reminded of Acts 2:42-47.
Their devotion was to something other than themselves; their commonalities were transcendent; they looked to others before themselves.
True fellowship should be the goal of Christians, rather than the empty pursuit equity.
In response to the 'outrage' regarding the newly-released Sex For Children book, Koraly Dimitriadis writes that simply because children have the ability to access countless hours of pornographic material, they should read this book. I repeat myself when I say I have no idea why these people want 10-year-olds to learn how to perform blowjobs.
Big W, popular department store in Australia, has decided that a book encouraging children to participate in sex, written by Yumi Stynes and Dr Melissa Kang, should be on their shelves. I will never understand why these people think that children ought to be taught explicit sexual content, tips, and techniques.
Make the logical and coherent argument to me that children need to be shown and taught this.

Children as young as 12 are able to change their gender on their birth certificate without any treatment whatsoever.
And apparently penguins are gay, and they're great role models for teaching children as young as 6 about sexuality.
What a week.
